Anima Saturdays: Season 2016 -2017

Flagey and Anima are offering you eight family appointments for the year. An afternoon's entertainment to watch an animated feature or a programme of shorts, continuing on with a workshop initiation to a number of animation processes for a group of 25 kids and finishing with a little snack (drink, fruit, candies...)! This year, we've managed to unearth a few sneak previews and never-before-seen films, either in French or without dialogue (indicated with a *), so that kids speaking any language can enjoy the fun.

The La Chouette entre veille et sommeil programme of shorts, presented as a sneak peek, will kick off the season, followed by a workshop on the same theme. The producer Arnaud Demuynck, and director Pascale Hecquet willl also attend this screening. Next up, the well-loved duo Pat & Mat* will be back for some brand NEW crazy DIY adventures. Another exceptional premiere will be Stick Man, created by the same crew as The Gruffalo and all about a respectable family man who is taken for a piece of wood! The director Jeroen Jaspaert will be attending. Everyone's favourite mushroom, Capelito, will be back on Flagey's screens with the Capelito and Friends* programme, where we'll see him in the presence of Martians, a little fox or inventing a magic potion! Then we're going to have some fun with La Petite Taupe en ville*. A classic among the classics, yet not often seen on the big screen. A rare not-to-be-missed event, full of poetry. You'll also be able to discover Les Petites Casseroles, a collection of six short films that have won prizes at many festivals. Six tender stories about growing up, often funny and sometimes incredible, for an exclusive screening in Belgium! We've also gone out of our way to legally show you some authentic episodes from one of the most famous duos in the world: Tom and Jerry*. And finally, to end with a flourish, a real little marvel: the first shorts from the Aardman studio and the very British pair Wallace and Gromit*.
