Cassandre, ou le chant des ruines
Thanks to their poetic and metaphorical richness, myths have the extraordinary ability to be both a mirror of the past and an inexhaustible source of wisdom for the present. Philosopher and writer Pascale Seys and countertenor Dominique Corbiau sought it out together and present a unique chamber version of Johan Christoph Friedrich Bach's dramatic cantata Cassandra. As in the ancient Greek tragedy, Pascale Seys takes on the role of the chorus, which sheds contemporary light on this universal myth in a dialogue between words and music.
