Shine

Inspired by the life of Australian pianist David Helfgott, Shine tells the story of a gifted pianist - who takes part in a competition where he plays Rachmaninov's demanding Piano Concerto No. 3 - under such intense pressure that he suffers severe mental problems. The film helped relaunch the career of the real David Helfgott and revealed his performer, Geoffrey Rush.
