Paulette feels bad for punishing her daughter Linda and will do anything to make it up to her – even prepare chicken with peppers, despite being a terrible cook! But where can you get chicken during a general strike? Mother and daughter go on a quest for chicken that takes them from a henhouse to a watermelon truck by way of an overzealous policeman and an allergic truck driver.
