On January 22, 1945, Julien Carlier was sentenced to death in absentia for collaborating with the enemy, in particular for having been Head of Propaganda for Rex, the collabo party. In 2019, in Brussels, Jehanne Bergé, her journalist great-grandniece, discovers the existence of this dark ancestor. In the form of an audio soap opera, "Mon arrière-grand-oncle nazi" revisits one of the darkest pages in the history of us all.
Join us on February 22 for the Premiere of this audio documentary. It was here, in Flagey, that on May 28, 1940, the Germans occupied the INR buildings, whose studios were transformed during the war into Radio Bruxelles and Zender Brussel, the radio station of the collaboration. Julien Carlier worked for Radio Bruxelles as a propagand a columnist. 80 years after the end of the war, together we will echo this intimate, historical and collective story.
