Oliver Stone : guest of honour of Millenium Film Festival’s 16th edition

Millenium is delighted to welcome Oliver Stone as the guest of honour for Millenium Film Festival’s 16th edition. An emblematic figure of American cinema, Oliver Stone will open this year's festival in Flagey on March 15th. At the end of this Opening Night, Oliver Stone will receive the festival's honorary award.

He will also be giving an exclusive Masterclass on his body of work. Director, screenwriter, producer and actor by turns, Oliver Stone is part of the cinematic pantheon in both the fiction and documentary worlds. A committed artist, he stands out for his insatiable quest for truth.

Unmasking hypocrisy, ferreting out political falsehoods, delving into reality from every nook and cranny without complacency or gratuitous provocation - these are the ethical guidelines that have marked Oliver Stone's impressive career. From his trilogy on Vietnam (Platoon, Born on the Fourth of July and Heaven & Earth) to JFK (a fictional film which he revisited 30 years later with the documentary JFK Revisited: Through the Looking Glass) and Snowden, as well as the many alliances he has forged with other directors of undisputed talent (Alan Parker's Midnight Express, Brian de Palma's Scarface, Milos Forman's Larry Flynt), Stone is not afraid to offend the self-righteousness of a certain establishment or to upset an established order. Oliver Stone's latest film Nuclear Now will be screened at the festival.

As the number of tickets for the entire opening night of the Festival is limited, we invite you to book now.
