Kit Armstrong & Sophie Karthäuser & Ensemble

Kit Armstrong is touring across Europe with Expedition Mozart with vocals and ensemble. At Flagey, he will be surrounded by Belgian soprano and Mozart specialist Sophie Karthäuser. For the first time, these two exceptional artists join forces, along with top musicians Armstrong himself chose and with whom he often plays chamber music. They will perform songs including Dans un bois solitaire, and selections from beloved works such as Ch'io mi scordi di te and the overture to the 1786 opera Le Nozze di Figaro. From the same year also dates his Piano Concerto No. 23, which, thanks to its combination of delicate and dramatic passages, subtle colours and intense emotions, is also sometimes called a ‘mini opera without words’.
