Nik Bärtsch & Tania Giannouli

Pianists Nik Bärtsch and Tania Giannouli have been called the "ideal musical partners" in contemporary jazz. They met at the Enjoy Jazz Festival in Germany, where they were both artists-in-residence. To their genre-crossing and dynamic interplay, the adventurous improvisers each add their own sound. Because of their classical training, their improvisation exposes a hidden inner logic in the music, resulting in a deeply moving and unique sound.
