Let there be Light! A Colored-Light Scriabin Recital
Nuno Cernadas
Nuno Cernadas proposes a novel multi-sensory exploration of Alexander Scriabin’s piano sonatas. Developed as part of a PhD project at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, this artistic endeavor fuses sound and color in adherence with Scriabin’s original associations between harmonies and colors. The inclusion of a colored light dimension transforms the piano recital into an alluring and mysterious experience, making Scriabin’s mystical concept of music as ritual and theurgy truly tangible.
