No Other Land
Basel Adra, Hamdan Ballal, Yuval Abraham
Basel Adra, a young Palestinian activist from Masafer Yatta in the West Bank, has been waging a relentless struggle against the forced expulsion of his community by the Israeli authorities since he was very young. He rigorously documents the gradual destruction of villages in his region, where Israeli soldiers demolish homes and drive out residents. In the course of his struggle, he crosses paths with Yuval, an Israeli journalist who decides to support him. An unexpected alliance develops between them. Nevertheless, their relationship is put under strain by the immense disparity that separates them: Basel lives under military occupation, while Yuval enjoys total, unrestricted freedom. This film, made by a Palestinian-Israeli collective of four young activists, is an act of creative resistance in search of justice.
