The awards ceremony will honour the best films of the festival. It’s an opportunity to celebrate together the inspiring stories that impact the way we think and see the world, as well as the filmmakers who captivate us to make things happen. The ceremony will be followed by the screening of a film combining music, courage and hope.
Once a pop icon in Iran, then 20 years of house arrest – and finally an unexpected comeback to the stage. The moving story of the legendary Iranian singer Googoosh makes her a voice of resistance and a symbol of hope. Her life is a testimony to the Iranian struggle for freedom and humanity.
