Senhora del mundo, Travels and encounters of the Portuguese diaspora
From the 15th century onwards, Portuguese navigators conquered territories in America, Asia and Africa. Their curiosity about native cultures gave rise to cross-fertilization, particularly in terms of music. Brazil is the best-known destination for this Portuguese diaspora, but it also spread to Cape Verde, Indonesia, India, Timor, China, Angola and South Africa. L'Achéron and Brazilian singer Luanda Siqueira take us on a journey around the globe in the footsteps of the Portuguese colonies: sacred tunes, fado, vilancicos, songs from Goa, Macao, Coimbra or elsewhere, these rarities promise a colorful and mixed artistic expedition.
