Come back Africa

Lionel Rogosin, influenced by Robert Flaherty, was a standard bearer for independent American cinema at the time of Cassavetes and others, and also for documentary makers. Filmed in secret in Johannesburg in 1959, Come Back, Africa, depicts, with ire and a humanist eye, the life of a Zulu family living under Apartheid.
