ARTISTIC CONCEPT & CHOREOGRAPHY
In 2017, Festival Musiq’3 invites the choreographer and visual artist Isabella Soupart to choreograph and design the Festival stage and highlight the unique architectures of Flagey and Théâtre Marni. By doing so, they hope to further develop the identity of the festival. Isabelle Soupart had a track record of many successful collaborations and productions. On this occasion, she will join forces with Jim Clayburgh, an American stage and lighting designer, and with Jonathan Sullam, an English visual artist based in Brussels. For the festival, they rethink the way we experience concerts by developing a visual framework for the musical performances and by working closely together with some of the music ensembles. By combining design, dance/performance, film and music, they hope to fire our imagination!
