Jean-Claude Vanden Eynden
When, at the age of 16, Jean-Claude Vanden Eynden took part in the Queen Elisabeth Music Competition, he was the youngest winner ever to take part. He is still one of THE big names on the Belgian piano scene. On Sunday afternoon, he will surprise us with one of the monuments of the piano repertoire: Franz Schubert’s final sonata that he wrote, although seriously weakened by syphilis, shortly before his death.
