Boris Giltburg & Pavel Haas Quartet
Between Light and Dark
Before the concert, we organise a sonic tasting with cellist Benjamin Glorieux, violinist Elsa de Lacerda and manager Sonia Simmenauer. Registrations for this event are completed.
Boris Giltburg returns to the city where it all began for him. In 2013, the Russian-Israeli pianist was given a standing ovation in the finale of the Queen Elisabeth Competition. His blazing performance of Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No. 3 won him first prize. Giltburg feels closely connected to the music of his homeland: “For me, Russian music is addictively rich, deep and utterly authentic.” With the Pavel Haas Quartet, the pianist performs a full programme of Shostakovich.
