Pianist and composer Fred Hersch is a fixture in the jazz world, and led a whole new generation of musicians at the Julliard School in New York, including Brad Mehldau and Ethan Iverson. During his rich career, he has played with the very finest jazz musicians, and he can draw on a huge musical repertoire. This year, his trio's latest album, Sunday Night at the Vanguard, was nominated for two Grammy Awards (Best Jazz Album & Best Jazz Solo). Pure magic on the stage!
