Mimi is eking out a living in the Latin Quarter of Paris. She becomes involved with Rodolphe, a playwright who is working on a new play. This adaptation of Puccini’s opera was almost entirely willed into existence by Lillian Gish, who chose her director and “co-stars” herself.
