Nikolai Lugansky

Flagey is particularly proud to count the Russian pianist Nikolai Lugansky among its artists in residence. He is invited to Studio 4 at Flagey on two occasions, in recital and as soloist with the Brussels Philharmonic. The music of Sergei Rachmaninoff connects both concerts. And there is a reason for this. Lugansky is renowned as one of the great interpreters of Rachmaninoff’s music: he is artistic director of the Tambov Rachmaninov Festival and was awarded the Diapason d’Or and an ECHO Klassik for his Rachmaninov recordings.
