Optical illusions
This sonic tasting takes place before the concert of Escher String Quartet.
We ask the young musicians of the quartet, named after the mathematician Escher, how the composers on the programme create illusions in their music. They teach us how we can recognize these compositional elements with a trained ear. Just like one can better understand the prints of Escher when we can discern the geometric shapes in them.
