Or Bareket + The Brother Moves on featuring Bowrain
Brussels Jazz Weekend | Free concerts
For the third year in a row, the Brussels jazz Weekend offers jazz enthusiasts an opportunity to cross the city on the warm and festive sounds by Belgian and international jazz musicians. Both outdoors and in numerous clubs and bars, they can enjoy free live music in all its forms and genres: from swing to bebop, or influenced by blues, rock or world music. It’s up to the taste and the inspiration of the musicians, but as usual, it promises to be an unforgettable feast. At Flagey, you can enjoy two performances by The Brother Moves On, the must see South African band whose Afro-futuristic style is currently conquering the world.
Jazz in all its forms and genres: from swing to bebop, or influenced by blues, rock or world music. At Flagey, you can enjoy performances by two must see groups: Or Bareket et The Brother Moves On. Both groups perform twice this Saturday night.
Born in Jerusalem and raised in Buenos-Aires and Tel-Aviv, Or Bareket is currently one of the most in-demand and versatile bassists on the New York City jazz scene. Bareket’s approach to improvisation/composition is informed by Mediterranean, South American and North African folklores, all interpreted through his deep knowledge and appreciation of the American Jazz tradition. The Brother Moves On is a South African band whose Afro-futuristic ancient fusion with dub-metal, psychedelic rock, and astro-afro-free-jazz is currently conquering the world.
