Denis Matsuev

When he was only 23 years old, the young Russian pianist Denis Matsuev won in 1998 in a most impressive way the prestigious 11th International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow. Since then, Matsuev has proved himself to be one of the leading performers of the romantic Russian piano repertoire. This piano phenomenon will come for the first time to Flagey, playing his favourite repertoire and completing his recital with Franz Liszt's grand and only Piano Sonata.
