The Belgian musicians of Trio Khnopff are alumni of Europe’s most prominent schools (Muziekkapel Koningin Elisabeth, Royal Academy of Music, conservatories of Bern, Mons & Brussels) and have already shared a stage with the likes of Maxim Vengerov, Trevor Pinnock, Adrian Brendel and Augustin Dumay. 2014 marked their first performance under the name of Trio Khnopff, named after the Belgian, symbolistic painter. This concert is dedicated to the Polish composer Mieczysław Weinberg, the spiritual son of Shostakovich and one of the most important figures in 20th century Russian music.
