Trumpeter Avishai Cohen and pianist Yonathan Avishai have known each other more than 20 years by now. They have collaborated on numerous productions, including Avishai Cohen acclaimed cd’s Into The Silence and Cross My Palm With Silver, released by ECM. However, with the release of their long-awaited, ECM-released album, it is for the very first time that they share a stage as a duo. The result, a programme featuring a few own compositions but mainly standards from Coltrane to Steve Wonder, is simply fascinating!
