Ysaÿe, US heritage

A large part of Eugène Ysaÿe's life was devoted to the transmission of his knowledge inherited from the great masters of the Belgian Violin School. Very early on, he was recognized in the United States. Among his disciples were many young people from across the Atlantic, whose legacy is now proudly carried by Joshua Bell. For this recital, the American violinist offers his vision of Ysaÿe. Among the most important works in this repertoire is Franck's Sonata for violin and piano dedicated to Ysaÿe.
