Lebanese oud player Rabih Abou-Khalil, together with artists like Anouar Brahem, can be credited for the succes of classical Arabic oud in contemporary jazz. Eastern and Western music go hand in hand, which in his case led to unforgettable projects with both jazz and classical artists. He is a leading visionary amongst Middle-Eastern musicians and acclaimed for his poetic and virtuoso style packed with humor, surprise and originality. For this concert, his usual trio is joined by Ricardo Riberio, one of the rising stars on the fado-firmament.
