Nikel Ensemble: Cinemascope Trilogy

The quest of The Nikel Ensemble is to look for the ultimate blend of electronic and acoustic sounds in its performances. In collaboration with the European Ulysses Network, the ensemble focuses on the beautiful, surreal black-and-white collage films by Austrian avant-garde filmmaker Peter Tscherkassky. Five composers including Steven Takasugi wrote new soundtracks especially for this Cinemascope Trilogy to be performed live with unique short films.
