The secrets of music arrangement

The Danish String Quartet finds itself at the core of the classical music world. On a daily basis they delve into works by great masters such as Bach, Beethoven, Webern, but they also play the occasional folk gig since Norwegian cellist Fredrik joined the group in 2008. Since then, they have gone from strength to strength, with a concert programme embracing core classical repertoire as well as folk music which Fredrik rearranges for the quartet. In a concert-talk preceding the concert Fredrik tells us more about his arrangements of the Nordic folk tunes which also appear on their latest CD venture  ‘Last Leaf’ with the iconic label ECM which the Quartet have a longstanding relationship with.
