Approved for adoption
Couleur de peau: miel | Laurent Boileau, Jung
Jung Sik-Jun, known simply as Jung, is a major figure in the Belgian comic scene. His best-known work is undoubtedly Approved for adoption, an autobiographical comic strip about his personal quest for identity: an orphan from the Korean War, he was taken in by a Belgian family. However happy his childhood, it did not spare him the questions raised by his dual identity. This experience was made into a film, mixing animation and live sequences, with an artistic flourish and emotional charge that won over the public (Audience Award at Annecy).
