Field Recording-Lockdown - Contest Closing

La Semaine du Son organised a Field Recording competition with lockdown sounds recorded during the first Covid-19 period from quarantined places in Belgium (e.g.: a window or a door opening onto the street, a garden or a courtyard / from a roof or a balcony / in a garden or in a courtyard,...). The sound fragments take the form of one long shot, a "plan séquence" of 2 to 4 minutes long. The sounds can originate from human action, speech, music, mechanical activity, nature... jury paid attention to the originality of the fragment and the sound quality. The selected audio fragments will now be judged at Flagey in the presence of the public whilst a photo of the place of recording is projected. The winner of the best sound fragment will receive a prize in the form of a voucher for audio material of his/her choice from the company Audiosense.
