El Empleado y el Patron

The employer is a young man who seems to have everything going for him. However, he is worried about his baby’s health. The employee is looking for a job to support his newborn baby. By helping each other, both will meet their needs. But one day, an accident happens. This event will strain the bonds between them and endanger the fortunes of both their families.

Manuel Nieto Zas (Montevideo, 1972) is part of the new generation of Uruguayan cinema. In 2006, he wrote and directed his first feature film, La Perrera. This was followed by The Militant in 2013. The Employer and the Employee is his third feature.
