Tralala

A Parisian busker crosses paths with a mysterious woman and follows her trail to Lourdes. Lourdes, the hometown of the Larrieu brothers, the standard-bearers of a regional cinema firmly rooted in the Pyrenees. The musical comedy was unexplored territory for them, and this was a commissioned film, but they took to it like past masters, embracing the genre’s kitschy appeal with infectious, whimsical relish. A stellar cast peoples this French Pyrenean La La Land, many wearing Covid-era facemasks.
