Sanremo Giovani World Tour 2022: rising talents of italian music

Sanremo Giovani is an Italian music competition that selects rising talents for Italy's most famous musical event: the Festival della canzone italiana di Sanremo. Created in 1951, it takes place every year in Sanremo on the Ligurian Riviera and is the most watched programme on the RAI channel. Many of the songs performed at the festival have become international hits, such as Volare by Domenico Modugno, L'italiano by Toto Cutugno or, last year, Zitti e buoni by the band Måneskin, which won as well the 2021 Eurovision song contest.

In 2018, in order to showcase young talents of contemporary Italian music, RAI and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (DFAIT), as part of Italy's cultural promotion activities in the world, launched the international tour of the Sanremo Giovani finalists: Sanremo Giovani World Tour.

Brussels is one of the stops on the 2022 tour. On the 1^st of June 2022 at 7pm in Flagey, a unique concert will take place, with the four singers Martina Beltrami, Littamé, Samia and Yuman, accompanied by the Sanremo band conducted by Maestro Maurizio Filardo. Lorenzo Ponzo, president of the local radio station "Hitalie", will host the event.
