Tamara Stefanovich returns to Flagey with yet another surprising programme. Within the time span of one recital she retraces the enormous evolution of the sonata since the 18th century. Starting with the polyphonic ingenuity of J.S. Bach, she confronts the sparkling sonatas of Scarlatti and Soler with the elegant and improvised music of C.P.E. Bach before diving into the 20th century with pioneering works by Busoni, Ives and Hindemith.
