Boris Giltburg
Artist in residence Boris Giltburg performs some of the most eloquent piano works ever written. Prokofiev pays tribute to the impossible love of Romeo and Juliet, and the intense poems of Mickiewicz are the source of Chopin's Ballades. The pianist ends with the extraordinary Gaspard de la nuit, inspired by Aloysius Bertrand - the closing piece of his Ravel cycle. After all, doesn't music begin where words end?
