Concert for Young Audiences
laureates Queen Elisabeth Competition 2022 : cello
Free concert for our young audience with cellists Bryan Cheng and Petar Pejčić, both laureate of the 2022 Competition. They will perform works by Astor Piazzolla, Sergey Prokofiev, Jacques Offenbach, Johannes Brahms & Béla Bartók. Bryan's sister, Silvie Cheng, will accompany them on the piano.
The Queen Elisabeth Competition has been organising a series of free concerts for young people under 26 for many years, in Brussels, Leuven and Louvain-la-Neuve. At these concerts, the laureates share their passion with their peers and explain the repertoire they present. These concerts are some of the youngsters' first contact with the world of classical music.
Year after year we find that a large number of adults wants to attend the concert in Flagey. We are happy to be able to welcome them, but we need them to support the young musicians.
