Ilia Papoian

The participation of the young Russian Ilia Papoian in the Queen Elisabeth Competition 2021 marked us by his virtuoso and sensitive playing. Two years later, the 22-year-old pianist returns to Flagey with a programme of emblematic piano works by Bach, Schumann and Rachmaninov. The piece Variations on a theme by Corelli, itself based on a popular baroque theme, was the last work for solo piano written by Rachmaninov.
