Manu Bonmariage
His exceptional camera skills (framing, focus, motion stability, sharp eye for telling details) have largely contributed to the quality of his fly-on-the-wall filmmaking style.
Having cut his teeth on RTB features, Manu Bonmariage soon established himself as a documentary filmmaker. His films reach into the extreme intimacy of humanity to plumb the depths of a wounded Belgium through its economic and industrial upheavals. His portrait, filmed by his daughter Emmanuelle, Manu – soon to be screened at Studio 5 – shows us the man behind the camera. The opportunity to also revisit some “cinema” milestones of a body of work that is also richly televisual. (With the invaluable help of the CBA.)
