Four restored versions in this cinematographic journey to the Land of the Rising Sun: three classics by Ozu and Tanaka and a Belgian visual poem by Jean-Noël Gobron that left a lasting impression when it was released in 1984.

Note: the two Ozu films were not included in our 2016 Flagey programme devoted to the Japanese master.
