Paul Lewis: Schubert Recital III

According to Paul Lewis, 'Schubert writes something that comes from another planet'. The English pianist is widely recognised as one of the foremost interpreters of Schubert's works. Our artist-in-residence is set to perform the third instalment of his cycle devoted to this iconic composer of German Romantic music. The programme will feature Sonata No. 4 D 537, which captures the essence of Schubert's nocturnal world, as well as the lighthearted Piano Sonata No. 9 D 575 and Piano Sonata No. 18 D 894, reflecting Schubert's unparalleled poetry.
