Severin von Eckardstein
Every great pianist has his own preferences that render him unique. For Severin von Eckardstein, winner of the 2003 Queen Elisabeth Competition, it is his passion for combining known and unknown musical works. Throughout his recital, von Eckardstein indulges us with some piano sonatas by Schubert and Schumann, and introduces us to the late romantic music of Max Reger and the "musique concrète" of contemporary composer Helmut Lachenmann.
