Marquis Hill ‘Composers Collective’

Marquis Hill, the trumpet player of Makaya McCraven and born in Chicago, is back in Flagey! In his music, he combines contemporary and classical jazz, hip-hop, R&B, Chicago house or neo-soul, because for him they are "all branches of the same African-American tree". With his Composers Collective, he further emphasizes this idea: "Each member has his own voice and it is precisely this that makes for real music and magic."
