Craig Taborn Quartet & Brussels Philharmonic

For the sixth time, Muziekcentrum De Bijloke and Flagey join forces to make a jazz master sound even better: by putting him on stage with symphonic orchestra Brussels Philharmonic. This season, we present none other than Craig Taborn: a masterful keyboard player and composer who loves old Fender Rhodes pianos. He releases award-winning records on ECM records and performs this time in quartet: together with trumpeter Peter Evans, double bassist Thomas Morgan and drummer Ches Smith. Under the name Jazz Meets Symphonic, he joins the list of illustrious names of past editions: Brad Mehldau, Avishai Cohen, Tigran Hamasyan, Uri Caine and Bill Frisell.
