Kit Armstrong
3x Mozart! Pianist Kit Armstrong shares his passion for the composer during this recital featuring no less than three of his piano sonatas. 1784 was the third year Mozart had settled in Vienna as an independent musician. To continue to amaze the Viennese music-loving public about his talents as a pianist as well as a composer, he published his now famous Sonatas 10, 11 and 12 that year, which he compiled into his Opus 6. These piano works were an immediate hit and always have been. After all, who doesn't like to hum along to the famous melody of the Rondo all Turca from Sonata No. 11 or the opening melody of Sonata No. 12?
