A tribute to the love between Robert and Clara Schumann, two icons of romantic music. That is what Belgium's top artists Liebrecht Vanbeckevoort and Ilse Eerens will present to us. The Ukrainian cellist Aleksey Shadrin, fourth prize winner of the Queen Elisabeth Competition (2022), will join them on stage. Together they perform a selection from Robert Schumann's vast solo, song and chamber music repertoire and introduce us to the unjustly unknown work of Clara Schumann, one of the great pianists of her time. Her virtuoso Variations and Sechs Lieder express the intimate bond with her husband and invite us to a concert full of emotion and masterful interpretations.
