Carte blanche to Fabian Fiorini : Invisible(s) voice(s)
The eclectic and brilliant Fabian Fiorini needs no introduction! Who better to give carte blanche to for our 'Curiosities' theme? Here's his idea for a cabinet de Curiosités like no other. “This idea will be transposed into a performative and sonic exploration of the piano in all its aspects, allowing the listener to be carried away into a new world, born of the old. Indeed, the parts composed will be largely inspired by the great pianistic works of the great repertoire: Chopin, Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann, Liszt, Bartok, etc. The works, like so many points of departure, will give rise to multiple mysterious, tasty and totally unheard-of explorations.” By a happy coincidence of circumstances, this concert, which will take place in the second half of the concert by the winner of the Queen Elisabeth Piano Competition, will be like a diffracted echo of the laureate's classical repertoire.
