All the Money in the World
Ridley Scott
Oil magnate J.P. Getty (Christopher Plummer) is the richest man in the world. When his grandson is kidnapped by the Italian mafia in Rome in the summer of 1973, they demand 17 million dollars in ransom. The billionaire, however, refuses to pay, after which the family receives the cut off ear of the boy. Desperate to save her son before he is cut into pieces, his mother Gail (Michelle Williams) decides to negotiate herself with the kidnappers. With the help of an ex-CIA agent (Mark Wahlberg) and without money, Gail has to be extremely resourceful to free her son.
Master filmmaker Ridley Scott (Alien, Blade Runner, Gladiator) signs up for an epic cat-and-mouse-game between the Getty family, the mafia and the sensationalist paparazzi. He can rely on a star cast, including Michelle Williams (Shutter Island, Manchester by the Sea), Mark Wahlberg (The Departed) and Christopher Plummer (A Beautiful Mind, The Sound Of Music).
