The International Anthem label from Chicago will also be honoured during the Brussels Jazz Festival by inviting some of their famous artists such as Jeff Parker, who we know from his electric guitar, the indie band Tortoise, and his arsenal of analogue and digital samples. Parker is one of the most original voices of his generation, which effortlessly bridges the gap between pop, rock, jazz and new music. Tradition and technology, improvisation and composition, the familiar and the abstract all find their place in his music. The fact that he is also a genius guitarist is something we gladly accept and makes us even more curious about his coming to Flagey where he will present his new album Suite for Max Brown.
