Vox Clamantis & Jaan-Eik Tulve

Enchanting, inspiring... Words cannot describe the beauty of Estonian vocal music. During this opening concert of the Baltic Sea Festival, renowned Vox Clamantis will bring us an anthology of this music, which is deeply rooted in Estonia's rich culture and vast nature. Works by Pärt or Kreek, among others, are juxtaposed with those by American star composer David Lang (La Grande Bellezza and Youth), artist-in-residence at Flagey, such as The Little Match Girl Passion (Pulitzer Prize for music in 2008) and his new composition We were, which Flagey co-commissioned from him especially for the Festival.
