Anneleen Boehme – Grand Picture Palace

In 2007, bassist Anneleen Boehme was one of the founding fathers of LABtrio, one of the most praised Belgian jazz bands of the past decade. Just like fellow musicians Lander Gyselinck and Bram De Looze, she did not stop there, but soon asserted herself in the most diverse contexts. Now Boehme is presenting her 'dream project': a nine-man Grand Picture Palace. A jazz quintet and a string quartet that bring different loves together. Boehme leads and plays the bass with verve, and has written compositions that break down genre walls with power and elegance.
